David Hoyle (priest)
The Very Rev David Michael Hoyle MA(Cantab), PhD is the current Dean of Bristol[1] and was installed on 29 May 2010.[2]
He was born in 1957 and educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and Ripon College, Cuddesdon. Ordained in 1987 his first post was as a curacy at The Good Shepherd Chesterton, Cambridge[3] after which he was Fellow and Chaplain (later Dean) of Magdalene College, Cambridge. He was Vicar of Christ Church Southgate[4] and then Director of Ministry for the Diocese of Gloucester and Residentiary Canon of Gloucester Cathedral [5] until his appointment to the Deanery.[6]
