David A. Katz (born 1933) is a United States federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, Katz received a B.S. from Ohio State University in 1955, and a J.D. from Ohio State University College of Law in 1957. He was in private practice in Toledo, Ohio from 1957 to 1994, focusing on corporate law.
Katz is a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Katz was nominated by President Bill Clinton on August 12, 1994, to a seat vacated by Alvin I. Krenzler. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 7, 1994, and received his commission on October 11, 1994. He assumed senior status on January 1, 2005.
