Daniel David "Dan" Ribacoff (/ˈrɪbəkɒf/; born October 8, 1959) is a polygraph examiner and private investigator[1] who often appears on NBC/Universal’s "The Steve Wilkos Show".[2][3] He has also made appearances on The Tyra Banks Show,[4] "Millionaire Matchmaker",[5] Globo TV,[6] Playboy.com[7] and SIRIUS XM.

Personal background

Born in Brazil, Ribacoff emigrated to the United States at age 3 and grew up in Forest Hills, Queens. He graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1977.[8] Ribacoff is married with three children and has offices in Oceanside, New York and Boca Raton, Florida.[8]

Career

"The Steve Wilkos Show"

Dan is entering his seventh season at The Steve Wilkos Show. Dan administers all polygraph exams for the show and appears on-air to explain the results. He frequently conducts polygraph exams on the show for child molestation, physical abuse, murder, rape , infidelity and other personal issues.

"Millionaire Matchmaker"

Dan appeared on the season four finale of "Millionaire Matchmaker", administering a test to the show's host Patti Stanger and Stacy Kessler.

"Impractical Jokers"

On the second season of Impractical Jokers, Dan administered a polygraph exam to one of the four members of the shows troupe, James Murray (a.k.a. Murr). Murr was asked a series of humiliating, comical, and personal questions in front of their entire high school peers, and with each response, Dan shared with the audience whether or not he was being truthful or deceptive. The polygraph exam was presented as the "punishment" to the episode's "Losing Joker".

According to a 2015 episode of Impractical Jokers, the episode Funny 'Cause It Hurts, Dan attended the wedding of Sal's sister and James Murray during the episode Brother-In-Loss, as a guest.

"Brain Games"

Dan appeared on the season two finale of Brain Games (National Geographic) as a polygraph expert. Dan discussed how the brain lies and the workings of a polygraph.[9]
