Introduction

Dana Wolf is the middle daughter of Thomas Wolf and Viktoria Wolf. She has one older sister, Marlene Wolf, and a younger half-sister Kim Wolf. Dana came to town with the rest of her family for her sister's upcoming wedding to Hagen von Lahnstein, and began working for the Lahnstein family as a horse jockey. Dana develops feelings for Hagen, and he eventually falls in love with her, ending his marriage to Marlene. Dana and Hagen get married, but they discover that Dana is infertile, which strains their relationship. Afterwards, Hagen has a one-night stand with Jessica Stiehl and Jessica becomes pregnant. Despite the initial problems caused by the infidelity, Dana and Hagen end up making amends and decide to raise Jessica's child, Maximilian, with her. In mid-2013, Hagen disappears during a storm in the Caribbean, leaving Dana and Jessica to raise Maximilian alone. Later, Dana and Jessica enter a civil partnership, in hopes that Dana will be able to adopt Maximilian. Both develop feelings for Ricardo Mendes, who decides to pursue a relationship with Dana despite his former liaison with Jessica. Suddenly, Hagen returns from a deserted island, attempting to win Dana back. Dana struggles to decide between Ricardo and Hagen, finally leaving Ricardo and reuniting with Hagen. As Maximilian suffers breathing problems, the patchwork family moves to the North Sea, where Dana and Hagen as well as Ricardo and Jessica find a new home.
