Dambanang Kawayan, officially known as Saint John the Baptist Parish, is a Roman Catholic parish-church located in Barangay Ligid-Tipas in Taguig, Philippines.
This church of Tipas formerly belonged to the Immaculate Conception Parish of Pasig and later transferred to the Shrine of Saint Anne in Sta. Ana, Taguig City. On November 17, 1969, Cardinal Rufino Jiao Santos formally erected the parish under the patronage of St. John the Baptist. The first parish priest appointed was Rev. Fr. Ruben "Ben" J. Villote. The word "Tipas" comes from the word "Tinagpas" or "Tiga-gapas" because the original Tipaseños were farmers.
From 1969 to 2003, the Parish of St. John the Baptist was a part of the Archdiocese of Manila. Presently, it belongs to the Vicariate of St. Anne under the Diocese of Pasig. Rev. Fr. Juvi Q. Coronel is the current parish priest.

The parish celebrated its 40th Founding Anniversary last November 17, 2009. The highlight of the event was the renovation of the parish roof through the effort of the Parish Pastoral Council headed by Bro. Andring Ramos and Dr. Luz Pagkalinawan (the chairperson of the fund-raising committee).
Bro. Andring Ramos resigned as PPC Chairman as of August 2009. Immediately Rev. Fr. Juvi Coronel created an ad hoc committee that will organized the festivities of the Ruby Anniversary where in Isang Tinig Chorale, a choral group that serves every Sunday morning, performed a presentation. The team was headed by Joel Tanyag together with Dr. Luz Dueñas Pagkalinawan, Joseph Rodriguez Soguilon, Lucy Dueñas, Ana Maria Natividad Umali, PJ Estacio, John Paul Mendoza, Susan Magsalin, Besilda Balderrama Bacanto, Rudy Flores and Zeny Aborque.
In January 2010, Rev. Fr. Juvi Coronel and members of the Parish Pastoral Council elected its officers. Bro. Rudy Flores was elected president.
