History

Dalessandro's was established in 1960 as a blue-collar family restaurant.

Ratings

In 2015, Dalessandro's ranked as among the top cheesesteaks in Philadelphia.[4] The Food Network described the steak as "finely chopped" and paired well with "craft beer".[5] Niki Achitoff-Gray and Ed Levine of Serious Eats applauded Dalessandro's meat as the "real prize".[6] Visit Philadelphia ranked Dalessandro's cheesesteak 8th best in Philadelphia stating it was "delicious" and "sinfully greasy".[7]

Jimmy Fallon has made an appearance and dined at the eatery.[8]
