Daisy Shah (born August 25, 1984) is an Indian model, dancer[2] and film actress.[1][3] She has worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya for 10 years.[4] She made her acting debut as a special appearance guest in the 2010 bilingual action thriller Vandae Maatharam, but her first breakthrough came when she was roped to play the lead role in the 2011 Kannada film Bodyguard.[5] She then appeared opposite Salman Khan in the 2014 Bollywood film Jai Ho.[3] In 2015 acted in a bold role in Hate Story 3 which turned out to be a Super-Hit AT the Boxoffice.[6]

Career

Daisy Shah belongs to Gujarati family but born in Maharashtra. Daisy was working as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya in films like Zameen and Khakee.[7] and later started modelling, doing photo shoots and print ads.[8] Kannada director Harsha approached her for the film Chingari.[8] She played Ammu in the Kannada version of Bodyguard. She then shot two item songs in Kannada film Bachchan and Hindi film Bloody Isshq.[9] She had also done an item song(Neeli Lomdi song) in Hindi film Khuda Kasam starring Sunny Deol, Tabbu.

She has won the miss photogenic award in the MS Dombivli contest in a local mall when she was in 10th class. She graduated with Arts from Mumbai’s Khalsa College, later on she went to become model and worked under Ganesh Acharya for 3 years and then she got roles in Kannada films.[5]
