Dadi is a community development block that forms an administrative division in the Hazaribagh Sadar subdivision of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Geography

Dari, a census town in Dadi CD Block, is located at 23°42′48″N 85°22′52″E / 23.71333°N 85.38111°E / 23.71333; 85.38111.

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Dadi CD Block had a total population of 77,770, of which 49,770 were rural and 28,000 were urban. There were 40,012 males and 37,758 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 10,134 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 20,959. [1]

Dari, Religara alias Pachhiari and Gidi are census towns in Dadi CD Block.[1]

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Dadi CD Block was 46,973 out of which 27,515 were males and 19,458 were females.[1]

Economy

Dadi CD Block is in the heart of the coal belt of North Karanpura Coalfield. There is a coal washery at Gidi. [2][3]
