DYIS 106.7
DYIS-FM 106.7 Radyo Ugyon (DYIS 106.7 mHz ISCOF Barotac Nuevo & Santa Barbara, Iloilo is an FM station owned and operated by the Philippine Broadcasting Service in the Philippines. DYIS remote studio and transmitter is located at the 2nd Floor of the Municipal Hall of Santa Barbara, Iloilo with its Main Studio at the Ground Floor of the Administration Building of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries, Tiwi, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo. It was formely known as "ISCOF Radio" since 2002 which serves as the communication arm of the Extension Services of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries to reach out to its clientele and as training ground for its BS Information Technology students. The Memorandum of Agreement between ISCOF, Sta. Barbara LGU and the Philippine Broadcasting Service paved the way to the birth of Radyo Ugyon in 2016.
History
- First broadcast as DYSF 104.5 MHz in 2002 under the ISCOF Center for Educational Technology School of the Future with its Director Dr. Janeth Deza Demegillo, Production Manager Prof. Antonio Canonero and College President Dr. Elpidio A. Locsin, Jr. DYSF was licensed to operate as low power FM educational, non-commercial campus station at 10 watts power. Engr. Broz Binueza and Rex Resol were the technical men.
- In August 2007, through the National Telecommunications Commission's resolution, DYSF was rebranded as DYIS 106.7 ISCOF Radio operated and managed by the ISCOF Main Campus College of Information and Communications Technology with Prof. Antonio A. Canonero as Station Manager. Inst. Candelaria C. Pena took over in 2015 as station Manager and Engr, Res Jandonero as Broadcast Engineer.
- In January 2016 a remote studio in Santa Barbara, Iloilo was established through the MOA between the Philippine Broadcasting Service, Iloilo State College of Fisheries and the Local government of Sta. Barbara. It was re-branded to DYIS 106.7 Radyo Ugyon. Dr. Ramon G. Zarceno ISCOF SUC President II and Mayor Dennis S. Superficial of the Municipality of Sta. Barbara inked the MOA with PBS.
