DR P2

DR P2 (referred to in Denmark simply as P2) is the second of the four national radio networks operated by the Danish public broadcaster DR specializing in classical music and jazz, as well as literary programs, radio dramas and coverage of other artistic performances and events. The channel was broadcast for the first time in 1951. It is also known as P2 Klassisk.

The Danish Radio and Television Board granted on April 1, 2002 the right to DR to transmit P2 programming on the fourth terrestrial FM radio channel until March 1, 2009 and the permit was later extended the end of 2010. Allocation of the channel was based on the artistic aspect of the station's programming.

P2 organizes an annual chamber music competition for promising young musicians.
