Dębowa Łęka [dɛmˈbɔva ˈwɛnka] (formerly German Geyersdorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wschowa, within Wschowa County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland.^[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) east of Wschowa and 62 km (39 mi) east of Zielona Góra.

Church

Until 1945, the village was part of Germany and was called Geyersdorf. It holds the distinction of being the first German town to be occupied by enemy forces during the war, in conjunction with the Raid on Fraustadt on 2 September 1939, although Polish forces withdrew a few days later after the situation became untenable.
