Czernikowice [t͡ʂɛrnikɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German: Groß Tschirbsdorf, 2/18/1936 Sandwaldau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Chojnów, within Legnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] Prior to 1945 it was in Germany.
It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-west of Chojnów, 21 kilometres (13 mi) north-west of Legnica, and 82 kilometres (51 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
