Cryptozoic Entertainment is an American-based publisher of games, comics, and magazines primarily based on popular culture. The company's flagship franchise is the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game, a collectible card game based on the World of Warcraft online game from Blizzard Entertainment. The company has also produced content based on the Penny Arcade franchise, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey/The Lord of the Rings, DC Comics, and others.

History

Founded in March 2010, Cryptozoic's first product was the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game expansion Wrath Gate, released in May 2010.^[1][2][3][4]

Cryptozoic has continued to publish games and trading cards and released an original comic, The Lookouts #1 in July 2012.
