Cryptocentrus russus is a species of goby native to the South China Sea where it can be found on silty bottoms at depths of from 1 to 5 metres (3.3 to 16.4 ft), often near the mouths of streams. This species can reach a length of 12 centimetres (4.7 in) TL.[1]
