Crown prince Hyomyeong (효명세자, 18 September 1809 - 25 June 1830) was a Prince of the Joseon Dynasty, the son of the 23rd King Sunjo (1790–1834, r. 1800–1834), father of Heonjong, 24th King of the Joseon Dynasty. His name was Yi Yeong (이영, 李旲).

In 1817 he was admitted to Sungkyunkwan. In 1819, his title was Crown Prince of Joseon. In 1827 he was Regent ruler, but after three years died aged 21.

He is commemorated in an album of six scenes created to celebrate the commencement of his learning at the Seonggyun-gwan, one of a number of documentary paintings (gungjung girokhwa of the Joseon dynasty.[1]
