Cristo Rey Kansas City High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Kansas City, Missouri. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph.
Background
Cristo Rey Kansas City was established in 2006. The school is part of the Cristo Rey Network of high schools, the original being Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago.[2] In 2010, Cristo Rey graduated its first class. In that year and in subsequent years, 100% of its graduates were accepted to college.
Book about the Cristo Rey Model
In January 2008, Loyola Press published More than A Dream: How One School's Vision is Changing the World.[3] The book, authored by G.R. Kearney, a writer and former volunteer teacher at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, documents the unlikely development of the Cristo Rey model and its remarkable success throughout the United States.
