Crawley Green Football Club are a football club based in Crawley Green, a ward of Luton, England. They play in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One. The club is affiliated to the Bedfordshire County Football Association.
History
The club was formed in 1992. They joined the South Midlands League Division One in 1995, and when that league merged with the Spartan League two years later, became founder members of the new Spartan South Midlands League, leaving in 1998 but rejoining in 1999. Crawley Green won the Spartan South Midlands League Division Two title in 2004–05 and finished runners-up in 2007–08, gaining promotion to the Spartan South Midlands League Division One.
FA Cup
In 2009 Crawley played their first game in the FA Cup starting in the extra preliminary round. They were drawn against Cranfield United at home and won 3–1 allowing progress to the next round where they were beaten 0–7 by Enfield. The following season they went one better and reached the First Qualifying Round.[1]
