List of county routes in Niagara County, New York (1–25)

County routes in Niagara County, New York, are not signed and there is no apparent numbering pattern. Most of the county routes act as primary roads in the less developed areas and also serve to interconnect the various villages and hamlets of Niagara County. Niagara County maintains few county routes, including only the most important connecting thoroughfares, and those are maintained by the Niagara County highway department. Most of the roads in the County, including many of the local through highways, are maintained by the towns. Routes 1 through 25 are listed below.

County Route 2

County Route 2 is an east–west route entirely in the town of Somerset named Coleman Road. Route 2 runs from its west end at an intersection in the village of Barker at Quaker Road (NY 148 and CR 15) and West Somerset Road (CR 3) to its east end at its intersection with Johnson Creek Road.

County Route 3

County Route 3 is an east–west route in the towns of Newfane and Somerset named West Somerset Road. Route 3 runs from its west end in the hamlet of Appleton in the northeast part of Newfane at Hess Road (CR 24) and travels to its east end in the village of Barker at Quaker Road (NY 148 and CR 15) and Coleman Road (CR 2).

County Route 5

County Route 5 is an east–west route in the towns of Lewiston, Cambria, and Lockport. Upper Mountain Road begins at its west end within the town of Lewiston at the Tuscarora Indian Reservation line, since there are no county-maintained roads within Indian reservations. Route 5 intersects NY 429 (Townline Road) in the hamlet of Pekin, on the town line of Lewiston and Cambria. As Route 5 continues east through Cambria and reaches the center, it intersects NY 425 (Shawnee Road). NY 425 follows a very short piece of Upper Mountain Road to travel between two sections of Shawnee Road, resulting in a negligible gap in the CR 5 designation. Upper Mountain then comes to the Cambria–Lockport town line where it intersects NY 93 (Lockport Junction Road). The highway and travels another 1.9 miles (3.1 km) in the town of Lockport until coming to an end at an intersection with NY 31 (Saunders Settlement Road) and NY 93 (Lockport Bypass).

NY 93 was formerly routed along Upper Mountain Road between the Cambria–Lockport town line and NY 31. In early 2007, NY 93 was rerouted west along NY 31 and north along Junction Road (then part of NY 270) to eliminate truck traffic on Upper Mountain Road while providing additional capacity, resulting in the truncation of NY 270 to its junction with Saunders Settlement Road in Pendleton.^[2]

Upper Mountain Road comprises two Niagara County routes: CR 11 in the town of Lewiston from NY 265 and NY 954P to the western Tuscarora Indian Reservation line, and CR 5.

County Route 6

County Route 6, named Lockport Road, is a very busy and heavily traveled east–west route in the towns of Niagara, Wheatfield, and Pendleton. Lockport Road also forms the town line between Cambria and Pendleton between Diller Road and Campbell Boulevard (NY 270), and the town line between Lockport and Pendleton between NY 270 and its east end.

Lockport Road begins at its west end at the Niagara Falls city line with the town of Niagara. Just after Route 6's start there is an intersection with Military Road (NY 265). As Route 6 continues east, CR 82 intersects from the southwest at a Y-intersection. Route 6 intersects NY 429 (Ward Road) within the town of Wheatfield at 5.6 miles (9.0 km). About 2 miles (3.2 km) to the east, Lockport Road veers northeast and Mapleton Road (CR 32) continues due east at another Y-intersection. Shortly thereafter, Lockport Road intersects NY 425 in the hamlet of Shawnee in the northeast corner of Wheatfield. As Route 6 resumes a due east path just after, it forms the town line between Cambria and Pendleton. NY 270 intersects Route 6 at 12.5 miles (20.1 km), and comes to its east end at an intersection with Bear Ridge Road (CR 96) and Robinson Road (CR 123) at the foot of the Erie Canal. Robinson Road continues east over the Canal bridge into the town of Lockport and towards South Lockport.

County Route 7

County Route 7 is an east–west route in the towns of Lockport and Royalton named Slayton Settlement Road. Route 7 runs from its west end at Lake Avenue (NY 78) north of the city of Lockport west to an end 6.6 miles (10.6 km) east at Telegraph Road at the foot of the Erie Canal. The east end is in the hamlet of Reynales Basin within the town of Royalton.

County Route 10

County Route 10 is a north–south route in the town of Royalton named Gasport Road, and Main Street within the hamlet of Gasport. It runs from its south end at Akron Road (NY 93) and Bunker Hill Road in the hamlet of Dysinger, and runs north intersecting NY 77 (Chestnut Ridge Road) in the hamlet of McNalls. Route 10 continues north into the hamlet of Gasport, whose name comes from observed natural gas and the historic Erie Canal port. Route 10 intersects NY 31 (Rochester Road) as it enters Gasport, and comes to its north end shortly thereafter as the roadway crosses the Erie Canal and turns into CR 108 (Hartland Road).

The section of CR 10 (Main Street) between the junction with NY 31 (Rochester Road) and its north end at CR 108 was formerly designated as NY 359 from 1930 to the early 1940s. NY 359 continued north past CR 10's north end on modern CR 108 (Hartland Road) to NY 104 (Ridge Road).

County Route 11

County Route 11 is an east–west route in the town of Lewiston named Upper Mountain Road. Route 11 runs from its west end at an intersection with Military Rd. (NY 265) and NY 954P, a 0.6-mile (1.0 km) westward continuation of CR 11 to I-190 exit 25, the Robert Moses State Parkway, and NY 104 (Lewiston Road). Route 11 proceeds east from the intersection, north of the New York Power Authority Power Reservoir, ending after 2.0 miles (3.2 km) at the Tuscarora Indian Reservation line in Lewiston, since there are no county-maintained road within Indian reservations.

Upper Mountain Road comprises two Niagara County routes: CR 11 and CR 5, from the eastern Tuscarora Indian Reservation line in Lewiston to NY 31 and NY 93 in Lockport.

County Route 12

County Route 12 is an east–west (northwest–southeast) route entirely in the town of Lockport named Rapids Road. Route 12 runs from CR 85 (Raymond Road) southeast to Rapids where it comes to an end at CR 58 (Tonawanda Creek Road North). The roadway continues south into the town of Clarence and into Erie County as Goodrich Road (CR 216).

County Route 13

County Route 13 is a short east–west route entirely in the town of Wheatfield named Loveland Road. Route 13 travels from NY 425 (Shawnee Road) east to CR 20 (Townline Road) in the hamlet of Beach Ridge at the Wheatfield–Pendleton town line.

County Route 14

County Route 14 is a short north–south route within the town of Lockport named Beattie Avenue. Route 14 begins at an intersection with NY 93, where NY 93 changes names from Robinson Road (west of junction) to Dysinger Road (east) and Beattie Avenue continues south as Old Beattie Road. Route 14 heads north for 1.5 miles (2.4 km) before coming to an end at Lincoln Avenue (CR 92) at the Lockport city line. Beattie Avenue continues north through the city another 0.7 miles (1.1 km) before it comes to an end at High Street, formerly part of NY 93.

County Route 15

County Route 15 is a north–south route in the towns of Royalton, Hartland, and Somerset named Quaker Road. Route 15 begins at its south end at Slayton Settlement Road (CR 7) and travels north running along the East Branch of Eighteen Mile Creek until coming to an intersection with Ridge Road (NY 104) and the south end of NY 148. Route 15 continues north, overlapping with NY 148. The two run together until NY 148's northern end at Lake Road (NY 18). Route 15 continues north from there another 1.1 miles (1.8 km) to come to its north end at Lower Lake Road near the Lake Ontario shoreline.

County Route 17

County Route 17 is a north–south route in the towns of Lewiston and Porter named Ransomville Road. Route 17 begins at its south end at Ridge Road (NY 104) in the town of Lewiston, east of the hamlet of Dickersonville. Route 17 heads north into the town of Porter and into the hamlet of Ransomville where it intersects NY 93 (Youngstown–Lockport Road). Ransomville Road continues due north along the eastern edge of the town of Porter, intersecting CR 36 (Youngstown–Wilson Road) in the northeast part of town, and comes to its north end at Lake Road (NY 18), which parallels the southern edge of Lake Ontario.

County Route 18

County Route 18 is an east–west route named Chestnut Road that lies entirely in the town of Wilson named Chestnut Road. Route 18 runs from its west end at NY 425 (Cambria–Wilson Road) and travels 3.3 miles (5.3 km) east to an end at CR 111 (Beebe Road) near the Wilson–Newfane town line.

County Route 19

County Route 19 is an east–west route in the town of Lockport named Stone Road. Route 19 travels from its west end at an intersection with Ridge Road (NY 104 and NY 93 west) and Lockport Townline Road (NY 93 east) in the hamlet of Warrens Corners, which is located on the Cambria–Lockport town line. Route 19 travels through the northwestern part of the town of Lockport, traveling southeast towards the city. The route comes to an end at the intersection of Old Niagara Road (CR 31) and Stone Road's continuation as CR 23 near the city line.

County Route 20

County Route 20 is a north–south route that runs on the Pendleton–Wheatfield town line, hence its name Townline Road. Route 20 begins its south end at an intersection with Tonawanda Creek Road (CR 60) from the east, and Lockport Avenue (CR 67) from the west. At three tenths of a mile north, Townline Road intersects Crescent Drive (CR 93), which provides access to US 62 (Niagara Falls Boulevard). Route 20 continues north until its end at CR 13 (Loveland Road). Townline Road itself continues north on the town line and ends at Lockport Road (CR 6).

County Route 23

County Route 23 is an east–west route in the town of Lockport. As Route 23, Stone Road is a short continuation of Route 19, and runs from the intersection of CR 19 and CR 31 to the Lockport city line.

County Route 24 is a north–south route entirely in the town of Newfane named Hess Road. Route 24 runs from its south end at Ridge Road (NY 104) in the hamlet of Ridgewood. Route 24 heads north running through the east part of town and comes to an end at Lake Road (NY 18) in the northeastern part of town.

County Route 25

County Route 25 is an east–west route named Niagara Road that lies entirely in the town of Wheatfield. Route 25 runs from its west end at a six-way intersection with Niagara Falls Boulevard (US 62), Walmore Road (CR 129), and Cayuga Drive, which continues to the west. Niagara Road heads 1.9 miles (3.1 km) east to an end at Ward Road (NY 429).
