Council of Churches in Namibia
The Council of Churches in Namibia is a Namibian ecumenical body which deals with religious, educational and social matters. Formed in 1978, it spoke against apartheid and the South African occupation of Namibia (then called by some South West Africa).[1] Prominent current and former leaders include current leader Samuel Mbambo, 1992-1998 leader Ngeno Nakamhela and information officer Samuel Ankama. It is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Councils in Southern Africa.
