- The Copper River or Ahtna River (Ahtna Athabascan ‘Atna’tuu) is a 300-mile (480 km) river in south-central Alaska.
- Copper Country is an area in the northwestern Upper Peninsula of Michigan, an area which at one time was the world's greatest producer of copper.[8]
- Copper City is a village in Houghton County, Michigan.
- Copperopolis is a census-designated place (CDP) in Calaveras County, California.
- Copper City is an unincorporated community in Glenn County, California.
- The Copper Canyon (Spanish: Barranca del Cobre) is a canyon system in the Sierra Tarahumara in the southwestern part of the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.
- The name of the island of Cyprus derives from kupros, the Greek word for copper, because of the historically abundant copper deposits there.
- Copper is used in heraldry as a metal tincture since the late 20th Century, so far mostly in Canada.
- Copper kitchenware is popular, mostly because it is convenient because it heats up faster, but some like to collect it just because they like the color.
