The Colorado Department of Agriculture is the principal department of the Colorado state government[1] that manages agriculture in the state. Don Brown was appointed as Commissioner of the Department in 2015, replacing John Salazar, who retired after serving since 2011.

Mission

According to their mission statement,

The mission of the Department of Agriculture is to strengthen and advance Colorado's agriculture industry; ensure a safe, high quality, and sustainable food supply; and protect consumers, the environment, and natural resources.
