Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force is a video game for the Nintendo DS based on Disney's popular massively multiplayer online game, Club Penguin. It was released in Europe on March 13, 2009, and in Australia on April 16, 2009. In September 2009, a Collector's Edition was also released and included upgrades to the game and extras.

In the game, your penguin is assigned an Elite role ranked superior to the secret agents, an "Elite Penguin Force agent". Players embark on missions utilizing both familiar and all-new gadgets, accessories, vehicles, and locations to investigate mysterious events on Club Penguin Island. In addition, the game operates with the Nintendo Wi-Fi system, Coins that you earn in the game can be sent to your online penguin via the DS. It has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide.[2]

Gameplay

Players will be able to earn coins as they play Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force. Players can embark on missions and mini-missions that use various gadgets, accessories, and abilities to investigate mysterious events on Club Penguin. Players will tackle new mini-games, such as mini-games that are also available on the Club Penguin website, such as Cart Surfer, Jet Pack Adventure, and Ice Fishing.

Plot

Players assume the role of being a member of the Elite Penguin Force Agent. Gary the Gadget Guy, known as "G", is missing after building the Test Bots to help him with his inventions. The Test Bots go haywire and start to help the Ultimate Proto-Bot 10,000. Gary plans on capturing the robots, but ends up trapped in the Mine, where the player finds him. By the time Gary is rescued by the player, he has suffered memory loss. Soon, the penguins find oil cans, which means that the robots are dead. The player soon finds the robots. After this, the player has been told by Gary to find and hunt down the Test Bots and defeat them. The player has to rescue the Director and eventually rescues Gary.

Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force received high marks from Metacritic [3]

It was the fourth best-selling Nintendo DS game for December 2008.[4]

IGN gave the game a 7.0/10 [5]
