Clássico Majestoso
Clássico Majestoso (English: Majestic Derby) is the name given to the matches between Brazilian clubs São Paulo FC and Corinthians, both being football teams from the state of São Paulo. It is the derby that involves the most number of supporters in the World, around 50 millions. The name was first used by Gazeta Esportiva newspaper's Thomaz Mazzoni. Historically, the match is marked by many controversial moments, such as fights.
Along with Santos and Palmeiras, Corinthians and São Paulo are often referred to as the four major São Paulo football teams.

The September 7, 2005 match between the two teams, that ended as São Paulo 3x2 Corinthians, isn't counted on the statistics due to the fact that it was involved in the Brasileirão 2005 match-fixing scandal and was annulled by STJD.
The first match was played on May 25, 1930, and ended as Corinthians 2x1 São Paulo, in Parque São Jorge, São Paulo, as a Campeonato Paulista.

Stadia
- In the beginning, the Corinthians sent their games at Estádio Alfredo Schürig, and São Paulo at Estádio da Floresta, and later at Pacaembu. Later, Pacaembu became home of the Dérbi. From the 1970s on, Estádio do Morumbi became the new home for the classic, as if keeping the behest of the Tricolor Paulista.
