Citicorp Railmark Inc (trading as Citirail Express or CREX) is known for leasing locomotives to the BNSF Railway because of their crisis to move oil trains starting in 2013. The CREX (Citi Rail Express) locomotives are a rare sight to see but are becoming more popular as days go by.
History
The company is a subsidiary of Citibank, National Association and was formerly known as Citicorp Aerolease.[1]
Locomotives
Locomotives include the following in the GE Evolution Series:
- 15 ES44AC units, numbered 1201-1215, delivered in December 2012
- 50 ES44AC units, numbered 1301-1350, delivered in late 2013
- 35 ES44AC units, numbered 1401-1435, delivered in mid-late 2014
