Cinelicious Pics is a distribution wing of the post-production company Cinelicious,[1] launched by Paul Korver and Dennis Bartok, former American Cinematheque head programmer.

In a Deadline.com article about the launch, "Indie/Art House Distrib Cinelicious Pics Launches With ‘Giuseppe Makes A Movie,’ ‘Metalhead,’ ‘Elektro Moskva’", Jen Yamato reported the company's plans to distribute "an eclectic mix of 12 films a year spanning new American and foreign independent features and documentaries."[2]

In November 2014, the company announced it would release Eiichi Yamamoto's cult classic Kanashimi no Belladonna as its first major restoration and re-release, with all restoration work completed in-house, through Cinelicious.[3]

LA Weekly announced Cinelicious Pics as Best Indie Film Distributor of 2015. Michael Nordine of LA Weekly stated "Cinelicious Pics has been quietly balancing the art-house equation in L.A.'s favor...the company has yet to release a bad movie and is selective enough in its offerings for each film to feel like an event worth anticipating and celebrating."[4]
