Chute Forest is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England. It is about 5 miles (8km) north-west of Andover and 3 miles (1.75km) to the east of Ludgershall.

Local government

Chute Forest is a civil parish with an elected parish council. It is in the area of Wiltshire Council unitary authority, which is responsible for almost all significant local government functions.

Parish church

St Mary's Church was built between 1870 and 1871 and consecrated in 1875.[2] It has been designated as a Grade II* listed building[3] and is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.[4]

The church was built of flint, brick and tile with a pyramid spire, by John Loughborough Pearson for the Fowle family. The nave and aisles are spanned by a single roof.[4] It includes stained glass by Clayton and Bell a partnership of John Richard Clayton (London, 1827–1913) and Alfred Bell (Silton, Dorset, 1832–95).[5]
