Charles Thomas "Chuck" Crist (born January 16, 1951, in Salamanca, New York) is a former professional American football safety in the National Football League for the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and the San Francisco 49ers. He played college basketball at Penn State University.
After retiring from professional football, he served as a high school principal and elementary school principal in the Salamanca School District. Crist spent over four years on paid leave, facing undisclosed accusations, beginning November 2009; he was exonerated February 2014. Crist announced his retirement from school administration effective January 29, 2015, citing health problems.
