Christian of Thuringia
Christian (d. 950), probably of the Billung family, was count of the Thuringian Nordthüringgau and Schwabengau from 937 and in the neighboring Serimunt from 945.
He was married to Hidda (d. 970 in Jerusalem during a pilgrimage), sister of Margrave Gero I of the Saxon Ostmark.
His first son Thietmar became margrave of Serimunt and Nizizi in 965 and of Merseburg and Meissen in 976. His second son Gero was Archbishop of Cologne from 969 to 976.
