Christian Volckman

Christian Volckman (b. 1971 [1]) is a French painter, graphic designer, photographer, author and director. He is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Graphiques in Paris.

He is mostly known for his motion capture animation effort Renaissance, for which he was granted the Award for Best Feature Film at the 5th Festival of European Animated Feature Films and TV Specials[2] The film was internationally released in 2006 and received mixed reviews from movie critics.[3] It was awarded the Feature Film Award at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in 2006,[4] however it did poorly at the box office in America and Europe.
