Christa Stubnick (née Seliger born December 12, 1933 in Gardelegen)[1] is an East German athlete who competed mainly in the sprints.
She competed for the United Team of Germany in the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia both in the 100 metres and 200 metres. She finished second in both having split Betty Cuthbert (winner) and Marlene Matthews (third), both Australians, in both races
