Choitro
Choitro (Bengali: চৈত্র) is the last month of the Bengali calendar. It falls from mid-March to mid-April and is the last month of Spring (বসন্ত Bôsôntô). The name of the month is derived from the star চিত্রা Chitra.
Traditionally this month is famous for "Choitro Sale" (চৈত্র সেল্) when during the whole month all shopping prices fall discounted (Sale). It traditionally in the culture Bangladesh and West Bengal means to sell away all remaining products by the end of year, so that "New Accounts" (হালখাতা Halkhata) can be started from the New year day.
