Chionodes petalumensis is a species of moth in the family Gelechiidae.[1] It is found from southern British Columbia to California, Arizona and Colorado.[2][3]

Chionodes petalumensis caterpillars feed on oak leaves, including those of the Garry Oak (Quercus garryana)[4] and Valley Oak (Q. lobata).[5]

The species was first described from Petaluma, California.[6]
