Chetan Sosca (Kannada: ಚೇತನ್ ಸೋಸ್ಕಾ) is an Indian playback singer. He is known for his works in Kannada film industry. He has performed for many Kannada film songs.[1]
Career
Sosca was first introduced to the film music by music director Hamsalekha in 2001 by the movie Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu. chetan sosca has Sung more than 600 songs in Kannada movies, Worked with hamsalekha as his music assistant and currently working for music directors like mano murthy, hari Krishna, guru kiran.
He came in the year 2006 with his title song for Nenapirali. He sang the pathos song "Janumada Gelathi" for the 2007 released film, Cheluvina Chittara. Following this song, he began to receive offers to sing in many films including Jambada Hudugi, Pallakki and Hettare Henne Herabeku. In 2008, he recorded many songs for the films such as Moggina Manasu, Taj Mahal and Chaitrada Chandrama.
Sosca's single released in 2009 was "Yaare Nee Devatheya" for the film Ambaari. This song fetched him many awards and recognitions such as Filmfare South Indian Awards, Karnataka State Film Awards and Suvarna Film Awards, Radio mirchi awards, South scope south indian awards.[2]
His next song was in 2010 released film Pancharangi. He sang the title track and its sloka version. He also sang songs for films such as Krishnan Love Story and Mr. Theertha. In 2011, his song "Yaarig Helona" from Lifeu Ishtene won awards like Filmfare South Indian Awards, Suvarna Film Awards, Santhosham south indian award.
His most recent song Pyarge Aagbittaite for the film Govindaya Namaha has created a record for the maximum viewership in YouTube.[3] His other recent works include "Cindrella" (Addhuri), "Be Be Be" (Rana), "Ninthu Nodalenu" (Shikari), "Appu Hey Appu" (Dev Son of Mudde Gowda).
He has also represented Karnataka state senior basketball team 3 times in national championship and represented indian junior team once… Represented Karnataka state senior handball team 7 times in the national championships
