Charmaine Yee 余嘉甄 (born 1 July 1987), also known as Yee Kah Yan Charmaine, is a Singapore Emcee/Host & Radio Announcer and contracted artiste under Kiss 92FM. She hosts Singapore’s Number 1 English Show while you’re at work every weekday afternoon from 1 to 4pm, playing All the Great Songs in One Place on Kiss 92FM.
She has provided voice work for commercials and campaigns including Tourism Australia,[1] Air Asia, Pilot Pens,[2] The Taiwan Visitor’s Association, Best Denki, TK Trichokare, Ricola and Bone Marrow Donors Programme.[3]
She has also worked as a television host, having interviewed the Hot Guys from HOT GUYS WHO COOK (Diva Universal),[4] 2008 F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton, and international artistes such as James Morrison,[5] Nelly Furtado, Paramore, The Wanted, James Blunt, 5 Seconds of Summer, Avril Lavigne, We the Kings and Boyce Avenue.[6]
She was also the host for an Earth Day event on march 28, 2014, where she was seen alongside the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx at Commonwealth Secondary School.[7]
She was also the host at Her World 55th anniversary “Her World Gives Back” charity event in February 2015.[8]
She also supports charities including Action for Aids, Cancer Awareness and Autism awareness.[9]
Biography
Charmaine Yee attended CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School from 1994 to 2003. She won numerous awards including Saint Nicholas Girl's School Good Service (Distinction) Award from 2000-2003, Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service in 2001. She was also Vice President of English Literary Drama and Debating Society (ELDDS) 2002,2003. High School Monitor 2000,2001 and High School Prefect 2002,2003.
Charmaine Yee was also Vice-Captain of CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School in 2002.
Charmaine Yee attended Trinity College, Melbourne for Foundation Studies in December 2004 then moved to The University of Melbourne February 2005 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) with a double major in Media and Communications and International Relations. Whilst completing her degree she represented the University of Melbourne as part of a study abroad program at University of California, Los Angeles for Communication Studies and Political Science.
Charmaine Yee received her Bachelor's in December 2007.[10]
Charmaine Yee started her first job in January 2011 as a radio presenter with One FM 91.3,[11] she hosted weekday radio shows from 10am till 2pm. She worked there till January 2015.[12]
