Chance for a Live Time is a live album by Dutch progressive rock band Kayak, released in 2001. It was the first real live album of the band. In 1981 they had released a live album called Eyewitness. But that album was recorded in a recording studio, without audience.
This album was the first with Bert Heerink as lead singer and Rob Vunderink as singer/guitarist. Heerink joined Kayak as extra singer for a tour in 2000. Lead singer Max Werner left the band during that tour, and Heerink finished the tour as sole lead singer. Rob Vunderink once stood in for guitarist Rob Winter, who had other commitments. But Vunderink's high-pitched singing voice and guitar abilities proved a valuable addition to the band, and he became a permanent member. The album Night Vision would be the first studio album with Heerink and Vunderink.
