The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan public policy research institute dedicated to the study of Central and Eastern Europe. Founded in 2005, CEPA provides a forum for scholarly research, writing and debate on key issues affecting the countries and economies of the Central and Eastern European region, their membership in the European Union (EU) and relationship with the United States.
CEPA has developed a highly effective programming format that allows the organization to engage a unique audience of government, industry and issue specialists on both sides of the Atlantic. By combining sustained analytical attention and senior peer community-endorsed recommendations, CEPA programs have decisively transformed U.S. and European policy thinking. In this way, the organization’s cutting-edge research and program events have made high-value contributions to the debate on energy security, regional economics and geopolitics.
Central Europe Digest
Central European Digest (CED) is CEPA’s flagship publication. Published monthly since 2006, the Digest features exclusive interviews with high-level government officials and regional newsmakers, while providing original, incisive analysis and commentary by leading issue experts, area specialists and policy practitioners. From defense and security to geopolitics and political economy, each edition of CED covers the most important issue areas on the transatlantic agenda. CED

Keeping New Allies
The Keeping New Allies program at CEPA was the first initiative of its kind to holistically assess the health and trajectory of U.S. relations with the young democracies of Central Europe. By evaluating U.S. efforts at improving transatlantic ties with Central Europe, CEPA worked to strengthen public, policymaker and expert community awareness about the need to maintain and strengthen America’s engagement in the strategically vital Central and Eastern European region. Keeping New Allies
Global Allies
The Global Allies program at CEPA examines the similar political and security dynamics confronting U.S. allies in three global regions: Central and Eastern Europe, East Asia and the Middle East. Launched in 2010, the program is the first effort of its kind to produce a multi-region strategic perspective in the Washington policy community. Global Allies
