Cavanillesia umbellata is a tropical tree that grows in Bolivia and Peru.[1] Its common names are lupuna colorado and puka lupuna (puca lupuna). In the Quechua languages puka is an adjective that means red.

C. Umbellata is a species in the mallow family. It has a convex bole that natives compare with a swollen belly.
