Carpenterella is a genus of moths in the family Lymantriidae. The source of the genus name is cited as "Collenette, C.L. 1933. Entomologist's Monthly Magazine 69: 259" which is included in this article: C.L. Collenette and G. D. H. Carpenter. 1933. New species, and description of larvae, of Lymantriidae from Uganda. Entomologist's Monthly Magazine 69: 258-264, 265-270. The type-species is Carpenterella nesiotica Collenette, 1933, described on page 259 of the article. The second author, G. D. H. Carpenter is Geoffrey Douglas Hale Carpenter, q.v.
