The Carolina Cougarz were a charter member of the Continental Basketball League based in Fayetteville, North Carolina which began play in the CBL's inaugural season of 2010. Home games were played at the March F. Riddle Center on the campus of Methodist University.
On 28 March 2011, when the Heartland Prowl was announced as joining the CBL, the Cougarz were not listed as a member team and their name was removed from the CBL website, indicating that they had folded.
