History

Founded in 1997, the Bal Vihar Committee provided land for the project. Tata Steel, Timken and Tata Power were instrumental in providing support for the school. On 3 March 1997 Sister Vincent, the then Superior General lit the symbolic lamp to inaugurate the school. Sister Flavian earlier served as the Principal of Sacred Heart Convent School which is also managed by the sisters of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation. The school was an only-girls school.
