Capitulation in the Netherlands and Denmark
The Capitulation in North West Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark was an official ceremony at the end of World War II that marked the surrender of all German forces in northwestern Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands to the 21st Army Group, under the command of Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, on 4 May 1945. The ceremony took place on Lüneburg Heath, Lower Saxony, Germany.
