Campbelltown Performing Arts High School

Campbelltown Performing Arts High School (CPAHS) is a public secondary school in Campbelltown, New South Wales. Founded in 1954, it educates approximately 1000 students who have enrolled based on local residence and/or selectively in the Performing Arts division. The school's education curriculum and examinations are governed by the Board of Studies, a government agency initiative under the administration of the New South Wales Department of Education.^[1]

Performing Arts Curricula

CPAHS facilitates classrooms and mixed or specific-designated facilities for all specialisations including:

• Music (both Individual and Group-based vocal/instrumental ensembles)
• Drama
• Dance
• Circus
• Visual Arts
• Photography

Students in years 7 and 8 are required to complete one term (half semester) of each performing arts subject. The school also features developed band and vocal choirs which participate in various events in the community

Tertiary Curricula

Besides the school's namesake, it also facilitates other education avenues that range in (and also have designated work rooms for):

• Computing Studies
• Commercial Cookery
• Carpentry/Construction
• Textiles and Design

In conjunction with the New South Wales state's Vocational Education schema, CPAHS is able to provide students with TAFE level education up to Certificate II (2) in years 11 and 12.
