Caisse des dépôts et consignations

History

The Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations was enstablished in 1816 by Luigi Emanuele Corvetto, Finance Minister under King Louis XVIII, to safeguard public funds, including the country's civil servants' pension funds and retirement accounts.[3]

Nowadays, the Caisse des dépôts et consignations manages and reinvests savings accounts.[4] Moreover, through part of the funds of Livret A, it builds social housing.[5]

In 2009, Caisse des Dépots, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, KfW and European Investment Bank founded the Long-Term Investors Club.[6]
