Cactus Canyon is a pinball machine produced by Midway (under the Bally brand name). The marketing slogan is "The West has never been this wild !"[1]
Description
Players assume the role of a new Sheriff of Cactus Canyon. The goal is to survive many confrontations with the bad guys, save the damsel in distress that is tied to the tracks, seek a fortune in a gold mine and help the citizens during a stampede.[2]
The table include 2 flippers, 2 pop bumpers, 4 popup "bad guy" drop targets.[3] The Bart Brother figure moves and taunts players.[2]
It is the WPC machine with the shortest production run as the production stopped to start with the new Pinball 2000 generation.[3] Although fully playable, the software has never been finished.[4] The game uses the DCS Sound System.[2]
Digital version
Cactus Canyon is available for purchase as a licensed table of The Pinball Arcade for several platforms.
