Cache IQ, Inc. was an Austin, Texas-based network computing startup known for creating the first inline caching appliance for Network-attached storage.[1] Founded in 2010, the company was headed by a veteran IT management team including former NetQoS CEO Joel Trammell.[2] The company was reported to have received $5 million in initial funding from angel investors.[3] According to InformationWeek, Cache IQ came out of stealth mode in September 2011.[4]
NetApp acquired Cache IQ in November 2012.
