COBOL on Wheelchair (CoW) is an open-source MVC micro framework for creating web applications in GnuCOBOL. CoW is a free software released under the MIT License. It is available on GitHub.[1]
Background
CoW was inspired by COBOL-ON-COGS[2] which itself was a pun on Ruby on Rails, accompanied by a website that suggested that web development in COBOL is an anachronism.[3]
Functions
The CoW framework fully supports the MVC pattern. Its web template system allows to use HTML markup with simple placeholder variables.

OK, COBOL-ON-COGS was funny, but why not try that for real? ;)
