CIRH-FM was a radio station, broadcasting at 107.7 FM in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which was part of the Information Radio system. The programming consisted of a frequently updated 15-minute recording (that repeats) containing weather, news, traffic, entertainment information, and Halifax Stanfield International Airport arrival and departure delays.
History
In 2002, Jack McGaw received CRTC approval and the station originally began broadcasting at 97.9 FM.[1]
The station was owned and operated by Jack McGaw.
On February 28, 2008 CIRH received approval by the CRTC to move from 97.9 to 107.7 FM.[2] On May 27, 2009, the station applied for a power decrease, which received approval on July 22, 2009.[3]
June 27, 2014 CIRH-FM left the air, reasons are unknown. The website as of June 28, 2014 no longer has Halifax listed.
As of February 2015, CIRH-FM call letters have been reassigned to Roundhouse Radio in Vancouver, BC, that will be launched in Spring 2015. [4]
