CHIP-FM is a bilingual community radio station that operates at 101.7 FM in Fort-Coulonge, Quebec. The station serves Pontiac County in Quebec and Renfrew County in Ontario.

The station was launched in 1981 at 101.5 FM; it moved to its current frequency at 101.7 FM in 1993.[1][2]

CHIP-FM is owned by La Radio du Pontiac Inc.

Change of frequencies applications

On April 10, 2015, it was announced that La Radio du Pontiac Inc., the owners of CHIP-FM in Fort-Coulonge, Quebec had submitted an application to the CRTC to change CHIP-FM's frequency from 101.7 MHz to 101.9 MHz.[3] On the same date, Torres Media Ottawa Inc., the owners of CIDG-FM, had also submitted an application to change CIDG-FM's frequency from 101.9 MHz to 101.7 MHz.[4] The CRTC approved the applications on December 22, 2015. [5]
