C. V. Mathew

Bishop Most Rev. Dr. C. V. Mathew is the present Presiding Bishop of the St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India.[1]

Mathew's area of specialization is in Religions, Hindu Fundamentalism, and a Christian response. Besides being an academician and administrator, Mathew is an excellent resource for mission/church leaders who are committed to updating their understanding of today's Indian church.

Career

Moreover, he traveled throughout India and was a known figure in all the missionary circles as a great evangelist.His contribution in the educational field is noteworthy.He was also serving as the Vicar of the different parishes of the St Thomas Evangelical church of India.

During the stint at the Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, C. V. Mathew's students included Jonadob Nathaniel, the current Director, Translations of the Bible Society of India and B. Samuel Raja Sekhar, the current Auxiliary Secretary of the Bible Society of India Andhra Pradesh Auxiliary.[3]
