BulkZip is a commercial file archiver and compressor utility for Windows.
Developed by Northstone Consulting Ltd., a Stuttgart IT, process and management consultancy, BulkZip emerged out of the now discontinued xRar file extractor.

Benchmarks

BulkZip supports compression with numerous algorithms from the 2010+ era. As of mid-2015, BulkZip placed first in 4 independent large-scale benchmarks which were testing multiple speed/results relations, as well as a maximum possible compression ratio.[1]

Formats

By default, BulkZip creates .bulk archives, the programs proprietary format, but also supports compression and extraction of a number of other archive formats. The .bulk file format is based upon LZMA2, PPMd and DEFLATE algorithms.
